Vintage typewriter,

Vintage Typewriters

So excited to finally pick up this lovely Erika Typewriter today.

I had been so looking forward to that moment.

I didn't get this typewriter, but thought it was equally as beautiful.
(and mega more pricey!)

I have another old typewriter hidden somewhere.
I must have a play with it soon.
It's not as old, but it comes in a case, which swayed me into buying it of course.

Doesn't take much!

Happy typing.

Royal Albert's Lady Carlyle Pink China,

I'm so in love with this new pink china trio. I picked up a couple of these this week and I can't stop looking at them. That does sound a little odd doesn't it. But nonetheless I'm in love.
This pretty pink floral pattern is none other then Lady Carlyle's pattern by Royal Albert.

I'm starting to notice a strong similarity of this large pink rose bouquet with a lot of my china now from many different china makers.

Lovely chocolate brownie made by The Little Bakeshop.

So loving our lovely Nespresso coffee maker.

Don't worry, I did manage a long walk after eating this large chocolate brownie today!
I have also started running again, something drastic was so needed after eating all these cakes.
It may take a century or two to loose a few pounds though.

Take care for now.

My gosh I just remembered I still have a full China set hiding away in the car still.
I must get that out tomorrow.

Ooooh that is a pretty set too.

Old Telephones,

Bit of a fan of old telephones, although you did need a lot of patience to call those long numbers on them. I remember we used to have a really cute pink phone when we lived in the States years ago. Not sure what happened to it, I hope it's in our attic somewhere. I will have to go and check that out soon.
So this is just a short little post with a few photographs of these old but not so practical beauties.

Now wouldn't you love this Avocado coloured telephone to match your bathroom suite!

Take care for now.

Happy Easter,

Happy Easter Everyone.

I had the honour of joining the Easter sunrise service this morning at six. I can't believe I was on time.
It is an early morning service for the people of Swansea to attend no matter what background or denomination you are from.
It was so busy, which was brilliant.

An opportunist taking time to toast tea cakes after.

Two big fires kept everyone warm.

The view towards Mumbles at high tide.

Fresh colourful flowers on a cross at a local church later on.

Take care for now everyone, hope you have had a lovely day.

Good Friday,

Good Friday Service.

6 local churches gather each year to have a service on Good Friday on the village Green.
Love how all the churches mix, it gets busier each year.
Everyone used to meet at the local Oystermouth Castle but now they meet more central.

They start with a little procession and people join in along the way.

The sun came out.

Hymn sheet.

The Cross and the choir.

A passer by was sitting on a local bench with a random Cauliflower.
It was quite a beautiful Cauliflower. I'm sure I would take it for walks too!

Everyone was invited back to one of the churches for a cup of tea and hot cross buns.

We were met buy a whole load of Duchess rosebud china!

Love the large old canteen style teapots.

Hundreds of hot cross buns.

Nice bit of red formica table action.

My first cup of tea in months, loved it.

Hope you all have a lovely Easter weekend.

Old Cameras,

Just back from a fancy dress Murder Mystery evening. Am in awe of the talent everyone else seemed to possess when it came to acting and accents! I had to be in an evening 1920's outfit which was fun and speak with an american accent. Kind of ok with that accent as I used to live in the States for years. I guess though that most of the people there were from a theatre group so they had to be amazing.

I was really impressed with the other half as well as he had to be in a Safari costume and also speak with an American accent.

He also ended up being the murderer, which no one guessed.

Well with that I will leave you as I go back to my pretend American murdering safari adventurer husband.

Oh did I forget to mention this really cute REX camera?
Picked it up a while back and it seemed to go with the
Dr. Safari look!

To the next murder mystery game.

A big thanks to the most amazing hosts and cooks!

Hope all is well with you guys.

Spring Fayre Cakes.

A few of us had the pleasure of attending a lovely Spring Fayre today in a lovely local school. I was particularly excited by this pretty cake stand, I am quite easily pleased!
We were all equally as excited by these beautiful chocolate cupcakes.

I didn't try these dinky cakes.

If you didn't know by now, I'm a little bit of a chocolate fan.

I've just eaten one of these lovely cakes now, whilst writing this.

And this was the photograph after I had brought all the cakes
of the stand! hahaha.

I had no option but to buy all of them so I could take a photograph of this cake-stand in it's full glory.

Take care for now.
