Tea Party for Two,

As previously mentioned we had a tea party recently so alas their has been an abundance of left over cakes!

So what a great opportunity to have a little tea party outside last night.
Delicious coffee and walnut cake made by Scrum Diddly.

Was the sun shining?
actually I'm not sure it was,
but it didn't really matter.
It's raining now.

Loving the flowers brought from the local Women's Institute.
I so love these pink peonies!

And I mustn't forget the awesome chocolate truffles made by neighbour Ollie!
I have been counting them as my cheeky better half keeps on making them disappear!

Are they really for sharing?

Ok they are, but just a few!

And of course, no tea party experience is complete without the presence of beautiful Chris and her vintage outfits!

Top from Topshop,
Skirt from Anthropologie.
Thank you Chris so so so much for all your help with Fancy Vintage,
You amaze me with your enthusiasm and helpfulness!
And washing up skills!

Teapot from Vintage Tea Party from Bombay duck

and of course,

That lovely pink floral plate is from Pip studio!

A lovely present from my gorgeous sister Rachel.
I don't get to see her much unfortunately as she lives so far away but she knows me so so so so well!
Thanks for my favourite birthday present Rach.
And also for the teacup and saucer in the same pink pattern.
I am so lucky!

Now I have two Pip Studio side plates.
A blue one from my mom and pink one from my sister.

I love May.

It is usually the start of the exciting summer months.
I can't wait to have more cups of tea outside.

Bring on the sunshine.
We all need it.
Especially me.

It has been a roller coaster month for me.
And for a lot of people I know.
I know a few that have lost special ones recently.
And my big massive heart goes out to them.

Sending up some enormous special prayers this week.

We can never have enough of those!

Mad Hatters's Tea Party

Met a lovely rabbit yesterday.
It is always exciting when a rabbit loves vintage china.
I did notice though that he was having problems drinking tea.
It was actually a Mad Hatter's Tea Party held at the Marriott hotel in aid of the Welsh Cancer Charity Tenovus.
They are an amazing charity that help patients and their families with support where and when they need it most.
We probably all know someone that is going through a tough time with cancer.
I know someone really special going through a tough time at the moment and it is great when there are so many charities and special people that are there to help.
A big thank you to all those amazing people that help.
And also thank you to lovely Natalie at tenovus for organising such a great event! Well done.

Thank you to Mr. Rabbit for liking vintage.

You have to love these lovely red shoes worn by Lesley.

And this matching hat made by Pippa.

I love the whole heart and playing card theme.

Playing cards everywhere.

A beautiful flower pink hat.

Almost everyone there seemed to have a story. Some sad stories but also lots of happy stories that brings you hope.

A hat inspired by Neal's yard products.

There was a competition for the best hat.
This wallpaper and fabric inspired one won.

Love it, this photo almost makes the hat look like a dress with the little legs at the bottom.

Potted plants in tea cups on each table.
Everyone got a vintage cup and saucer to take home full of treats.

One lovely lady won my raffle donation: a Welsh green inspired cake-stand.

Lots more cake-stands and vintage china to play with.

What a lovely afternoon.
What special ladies,
with inspiring stories.

Big hugs to all those out there going through tough times.

Pink Vintage Teapot and Purple Dress,

Another lovely visit form my neighbour Chris with a delicious chocolate brownie, I will tell you that you are always welcome at my house if you bring chocolate! Unfortunately for a lot of people at the moment they are giving up chocolate for lent, does that mean I will be twice the size, as I haven't given it up!

I haven't given up drinking tea for lent either.

Love this Sadler pink teapot,

And my new floral vintage tablecloth.

I'm sure the chocolate brownie lasted less then a minute!

Happy Teapot,

empty cup,

time for a refill.

Milk, I only like the tiniest, smallest, dinkiest drop in my tea.

Chatted so long, needed a top up.

You may be wondering how many photographs can you possibly take of a teapot? Not enough!

Next door neighbour Chris sporting another beautiful purple dress from Anthropologie,
love the combination of the blue floral shirt with it.
(shirt from New Look)

And every dress needs a cream SMEG fridge as an accessory.

Think this pink and gold vintage china set is so so pretty, I have 4 similar sets, obviously you never know when you will be needing 24 pink and gold teacups and saucers! I think it's amazing to heave four sets that are completely different in pattern but all pink and gold, will carry on searching for more! How can one resist!

Take care,

xxxx
