Vintage glass sweet table,

It must be the best job in the world to organise a sweet table!
What fun! Surely guaranteed to be a hit???
Lost count of of the wide range of sweets.
The sweet table was for a prom in Swansea in the Norton House HotelSweets were all displayed in a large selection of pretty vintage glass.

Summer Fairy Ball,

All I can say is WOW!
Juicy Lucy really knows how to have fun!
These are just some of the photographs from the lovely Juicy Lucy Fairy Ball last night. They were taken before the crowds arrived.

I am so in love with these pink and white pom poms.
There was a certain knack to putting them together.
The paper ones were so so so delicate.
I liked helping with the net ones a bit more!
Way easier.

Also hung some pretty pink and white paper lanterns too.

They were suspended from invisible wire from the lighting.

Loads and loads of pom poms.

Hired the really tall trees from lovely Dave and Holly.

Tall ladder and tables

Loads of pink and white helium filled balloons.

Love the Patti pavilion as a venue. They were ever so helpful and professional and also awesome food too.

The suspended lighting without any decorations.

Vintage pretty pink plates on gold cake stand before cakes.

Cake stand with flowers, butterflies and tasty cakes from Cwtch cakes.

Before decorating.

After.

Juicy Lucy place names and gifts for everyone.

Lucy Juicy carriage photo booth.

Pretty Juicy Lucy love signs.

220 cups and saucers on table in total!
Where do we keep it all!

Didn't realise how many gold china sets we had.

And an awful lot of  teapots,

and coffee pots were required for 25 tables!

Just put this in, as I liked this photo.
An awful lot of balloon blowing action.

I am so in awe of how much help everyone put in.
What an amazing team.
Lucy did a fab job, and the Fairy Ball raised an awful lot of money for a really great cause.
Well done, we are all so proud of you Lucy and your fab team!
You are such a star!

More photos to follow.

Sorry, have you had enough yet?

Vintage Cake - Stands,

We made the most of the light summer evening by working outside tonight. We have an order for 25 cake-stands for this weekend for a Mid-Summer ball.

I love going through all the old plates working out which one goes best with each one. It is so easily the most fun part of making these vintage cake-stands. It is also a little sad to drill holes in these plates too, as I do get attached to them, sad as it seems!

I'm still a little sad about saying goodbye to the lovely green floral saucer in this photo. Love it!

I was so excited to come across 6 small side plates that had butterfly and flowers on them, as this is the theme for the Summer Ball.

So I have now mixed and matched 75 plates together to make the 25 vintage cake-stands.

Now it's drilling time!

May not see you for a while!!!

Midsummer Ball.

A few of us attended a fun meeting last night to discuss the upcoming Midsummer Ball. Only a few weeks left and there's only a little bit of tweeting left to do. It is actually called Juicy Lucy's Midsummer Ball by Royal Fairy Proclamation. What fun, love this idea.

Dress code.... Big ballgowns and black tie for the Princes!
And possibly...
(Wear a wedding dress if you want to!)

It would be really good fun to wear your wedding dress, don't you think? Question is, will mine actually  fit??!?

It is going to be a Pink bubbly reception in the gardens.

Beautiful grounds surround the 1890's Pavilion which has just been beautifully refurbished.

Love the view of the Mumbles and the beach from the front of the Pavilion.

There will be a buffet of Indian cuisine followed by a live band and dancing till late. Sounds like such fun. We had a chance to sample the food, which was really tasty.

Well done to Lucy and her team who have done so much work organising this.

All funds raised will go towards "Changing for the Better" which is a project aimed at improving facilities at Ysgol Crug Glas which will positively impact the lives of children, young people and adults with severe and multiple disabilities in Swansea.

They have also organised amazing prizes and auctions for the evening.

The massive green entrance doors.

Really love the lighting!

And all the attention to detail on the building.

Lucy checking out the flooring and the proposed band area.

Such a massive space.
Possibly 35 tables required!

Thinking where shall we put the fairy lights?

and the flowers?

and the butterflies?

 and the fairies?

And most importantly of all...

the pretty cakes and the fancy vintage cake stands?

hehehe

How exciting!

How many more sleeps.
Can't wait.

Now where is that tiny dinky wedding dress I got married in only the other day?

Am I living hopefully that I will still fit into it after all these years?

Fat chance!

Better start looking for an alternative, like a tent!
