95th Birthday, x

Just a wee one to mark a milestone for Nanna Carrie who is 95 today, so can't believe it, she is so young in spirit and an inspiration to all that know her. I am really in awe of her and can't believe that until recently she would even wear her high heels to walk quite a way to church, really just an amazing lady.
A very beautiful lady.

And what great taste drinking her tea today from Royal Albert china.

Another one of her china collections.

I wonder how many of us are inspired by our parents or our grandparents out there. I was so in awe of my lovely talented Grandma Alice too, she was an amazing artist and crafter. And I certainly know that I didn't have a chance really not to be into vintage china as my Mom is a complete china hoarder. I'm sure it gradually crept up on her but in me it has manifested itself big time.

Think I may need to see the VCA.
(Vintage China Anonymous)

Although it wouldn't be quite anonymous would it!

Take care for now.

Happy Birthday Roses & Cup of Tea,

Birthday Post.

Just a wee post today. Been a really busy time which is great.
We had the pleasure of Ness round today my lovely talented sister in law.

So awesome to see Ness on her birthday.
Had a little tea party for 9.

She wore the cutest embroidered Odd Molly pink shirt.
So picked this pretty pink cup for her Yorkshire tea.

Pink and brown spotty china on Cath Kidston fabric.

Something to add to Ness's growing collection of vintage china!
Present tied together in pink vintage lace.

These roses smell so amazing.

Have had so many visitors this week, been really fun & exciting.
And as always, great to see Ness for her birthday.

Hope you enjoyed.

Love these beautiful pink roses so so so much. They are from lovely Katy's sister who visited recently.
Wish the flowers could last forever.

And birthdays.

And people...

Vintage Boy's Red & White Party

What fun! A red and white boy's party theme.
This was inspired by some cool pirate bunting and some red and white stripy fabric.
They had food that was also mostly red too,
strawberries, tomatoes, jammy dodgers, and so on...
And most of the food was on pretty red and white spotty china.

Nothing like a little bit of red and white spotty vintage china from Lord Nelson Ware for the 4 year olds!

I think the gingerbread men look rather happy on Vintage spots!

I so love stripes!

This multi coloured stripy fabric was from a few years ago.
I brought quite a bit of it and other stripy fabrics as well.
Great for making bunting.

The three birthday little ones were 4!
My favourite number.

Love these old wooden toy blocks.

Collection of yummy red and white cakes and sweets.

Also loving these red and white spotty napkins too.

I love the packaging of these chocolate marshmallow treats.

Jammy Dodgers.

Cakes with white icing and red sweets.

Popcorn in a cute recycled sardine paper bowl.

Red and white stripy party bags with seaside stickers.

Pirate candles for the birthday cake.

And of course you can't have a children's party without pretty vintage cups and saucers for the Moms and Dads!

On more stripy fabric.

Also some pretty Cath Kidston napkins too for the females.

I think all the little ones had a great time.
It was great working with lovely amazing Anna too.
What a star!

It is always good to start the little ones with a little bit of a vintage party experience early on in age.

Don't you think?

Vintage Birthday Party

Morning.
Today is my Birthday.
So just a little note to say hello
and say I had such a lovely time last night.
We had a Vintage themed party in a local hall,
With an old film on a big screen with popcorn.
And a band playing some old music.
Everyone came with desserts.
Loved it.
Everyone was so lovely and helpful.

All I had to do was bring the vintage tablecloths and china.
Also had punch out of vintage glass bowls.

I didn't take too many photographs,
I left that for everyone else.
I will show you more later.

My mom made these chocolate brownies.
I love them so much.

Well have a good day all.
Present time.
