Mad Hatter's Vintage Tea Party Window

Mad Hatter's Vintage Tea Party Window

I'm not sure how it happened but somehow recently we have had the excitement and honour of decorating shop windows. The most recent  being 'The Mad Hatter's Tea Party' window theme. This Year
Fancy Vintage has teamed up with Meagan from  Made in Mumbles  to combine both of our creative brains.
(I'm not sure if I actually have one at the moment)
But we did have lots of fun with the lovely owners of

As you can guess it involved vintage china!

And vintage candle sticks.

And a few props.

All with a colourful pastel theme.

And a little bit of suspending random bits of china.

Shop window view from the inside.

thought I had better fill you in with what we've been doing recently. It's been quite a while since my last entry, so massive apologies for that. Fancy Vintage has had a really busy summer and year actually with weddings and tea parties and has let blogging fall by the way-side.

I may have more time on my hands coming up, or maybe not, seeing as we have another member joining Fancy Vintage soon.

Take care for now and happy September.

Jubilee Vintage Tea Party,

Ok, ok, this is the last Jubilee post, I promise!
Oystermouth Primary school recently had a Jubilee party for all it's former students, parents and supporters.
It was a fantastic turnout with so many people attending the event. Even former head-masters came too. Everyone really enjoyed drinking cups of tea and eating the most awesome cakes that all the parents had made. I may have got carried away with too many photographs of vintage china but if you know me and my blog posts over the last few years you would have already expect that!

Cool Jubilee poster by Rasa.

The collection of teapots is growing, the question is can you ever have enough?

So many cakes.

Lovely Meagan's flowers from Made in Mumbles.

A tad bit of tablecloth action.

My favourite vintage cake-stand.

A spot of Royal Albert.

Cheeky yellow bird.

Amazing looking cake - don't worry I didn't make it!

May pole dancing ladies on vintage linen.
Think we all should have tried a bit of that!

Ahhh that china cup doesn't go with that saucer!

Lady in yellow crinoline dress tea cup.

I can see the headmaster!

More Sadler teapots?

Flowers in vases.

Cake tent in the background.

Sweet Williams.

Eating cake.

Amazing Meagan.

Awesome Anna tidying.

Aaahhh finally time for my cup of tea.

Pink Sadler teapot.

Fab photo of glass cake stands.

All the little ones got a goodie bag full of lovely picnic food and treats donated by a certain lovely Rebecca T.
Just wow to your  brilliant and generous idea Rebecca :-)
They will certainly remember this day for a very long time.
Does anyone remember the last Jubilee?
Yikes am I showing my age!!
The whole school then had a fashion parade and fancy dress competition which was really good fun from the 3 year olds to the 11 year olds.

Looking at all the old photos.
It was amazing to see how many generations and relatives had attended the school! It must have taken ages to gather all these photos from the archives.
My 93 year old grandmother-in-law was really hoping to attend the reunion and vintage tea party but was unfortunately unwell on the day. That would have made such a lovely photo of 4 generations who had attended the school!

Hello cheeky harlie.

As you can see it was such a fun afternoon.
It went by way too quickly, which is defiantly a good sign.
Well done to all the wonderful PTA team and parents at Oystermouth School.
You have raised an awful lot of money in a short time for a very worthy cause - (the playground.)

In awe.

Well done to amazing Meagan again too for just everything!!

Such a star.

Take care for now.

Oystermouth School Jubilee

Ok, ok, ok this is the third Jubilee blog in a row, but this one was so much fun too! This Jubilee celebration was at Oystermouth School in Mumbles, Swansea. As well as having good fun they were also raising money for their Infant's playground.
It was an awesome sunny day with Union Jack bunting and flags everywhere. I'm particularly loving Meagan's outfit and cake above. I'm wondering now, how much cake have you all eaten in the last few weeks!

Hey wait, who is that! A big thanks for making a special appearance Elizabeth!
She did so well getting around the country!

Red. white and blue balloons.

Loved the red deck-chairs!

OOOh look who bought all their cake stands with them for the cake stall!
This time we went pretty melamine!
These cakes were such tasty cakes!

Red, white and blue fancy dress costumes for sale.

Nurse costume and blue sky.

Oh my word, the most awesome Pimms ever!

The lovely coconut shy.

Ooooh pick your own moustache stall! I'm sure this was the most popular event of the day!

You had to walk through this old wardrobe to experience all the games in this designated area! It was brilliant fun.

OOOh look how many ducks I've caught!

Doesn't this look a little like the Olympic rings?

Someone winning a coconut.

Oystermouth School with the castle behind.

It was a really lovely and successful Jubilee school fete.

There were many more photos but I'm sure you have all had enough by now!

Take care for now,

Until the next Royal Wedding!
