Olympic Vintage China Circles

OLYMPIC*

We were inspired by the 2014 Winter Olympics to put a few pieces of china together.
We have quite a selection here now so it was fun playing around with all the china.
Hope you like it.

We particularly love this green china.

Hope you enjoy watching the winter Olympics too!

Take care for now.

Teacup Love!

Teacup love!

As you would have guessed I'm a little in love with many a pretty vintage teacup or two. You might agree with me in thinking that it's a much more pleasurable experience drinking your tea from a thin fine bone china teacup. It is something that I have heard over and over again from my mom, 'I much prefer a thin teacup rather then a thick mug to drink my tea from.' So it was ingrained in me from an early age to notice delicate fine bone china!

So I thought it might be nice to share a few of my favourite teacups with you.

Only a couple of teapots/coffee pots today, I think they might need an individual post of their own!

Flower cupcakes by Scrumdiddly cakes.

I soooo have a soft spot for Royal Albert's Lady Carlyle china!

Is this a Pink overload?

Pink, green and gold.

This Royal Albert trio reminds me of my mom and her love for purple. I sometimes hear her quote from the poem,
"When I grow old I will wear purple"

I love all this mixed up green!

Coalport's Junetime china

A little bit more of some Royal Albert china loving going on here.

A little bit of rose love.

There is nothing more satisfying then playing with table settings! Or is that just me!

Who isn't in love with old books?

I love this green utility china, I've got a few bits and pieces of it in green, yellow and blue now, inspired by my lovely sister in law. This cup of tea was at my lovely florist's friend house though.

Finishing now with this pretty blue floral cup and teapot.

Hope you have a lovely Monday.

Make sure you find time to have a cup of tea!

Weddings

Weddings

We had our busiest year last year with weddings. We met some lovely brides who had some amazing creative ideas to bring to the weddings as well. We've also invested in some new props and china pieces too. Although I think I have been band from the other half from purchasing any more!
Here's to 2014 and to all the upcoming weddings and tea parties!

Take care for now

Fancy Vintage Apron

We've been making vintage aprons for a while now but we were especially pleased to see ourselves in Glamour magazine this month. We love nothing more then reusing vintage items that have a little bit more life left in them. Such as pretty old embroidered tablecloths that have tea stains and holes in them. We have a special love for old lace and ribbons, but I'm guessing a lot of you do. And double eeekkk my fabric stash is growing.

We've been selling our cake stands for a while too.
It's actually how we started getting into hiring out vintage china for events/weddings. We found it hard to drill into such pretty plates that we kept putting them on the side - and eventually the pile kept growing and growing then we had enough for quite a few people!
We actually had our biggest vintage china wedding this summer for 160 people.
Although I know we have enough china, I can hear the other half laughing saying
"Are you sure, Becca, are you admitting it yet?"
hahaha
I still can't resist a beautiful cup and saucer!

Pretty Royal Albert china plate

We used our cake-stands for a photo shoot a while back for a cook book, notice the purplish aprons in the background.

So this blog post today is mostly about aprons & cake stands, I'm sure you are so excited and can't wait for the next blog! haha

Take care for now.

See you soon

Christmas Shop Window

 Christmas Window

We had fun decorating Blue's window recently for the local Christmas shopping night.
They have lots of lovely clothes in their shop at the moment, especially there cute little dresses.

Made in Mumbles and Fancy Vintage were inspired by a red theme for Christmas for the window, filled with hanging red balls, presents and a white Christmas tree.

We really enjoyed the experience and we are so looking forward to the next window session.

Take care for now

Vintage China Wedding,

Vintage China Wedding

We had fun supplying china for a wedding recently for a lovely couple Andy and Libby in The Gower Hotel. They had made it very personal and had organised so much themselves. We were in awe. I love all of the beautiful roses they had chosen, from their own pastel rose bouquets for the bridesmaids to the flowers on the tables.

They had a gold inspired top table

I loved all the white everywhere.

I think this is one of my favourite gold floral china combinations, we've had these pretty dining plates from the start.

Beautiful roses in glass with lace.

Fell in love with this yellow.

Really old china.

Pink roses.

More gold.

A fun idea from Made in Mumbles.

Table setting set for a high tea. The hotel offered a range of amazing food for their high tea.

It all looked so beautiful and was such a credit to Libby and her lovely family. It was a real family affair and it was so lovely to see all the action the day before the big day. The Gower Hotel is such a perfect setting for a wedding too. It also has the most beautiful old chapel right next door to it.

Take care for now, till the next entry.
