Happy New Year's Day Vintage China Session,

2012
So it's 2012! I Wish you all a Happy New Year to you.
We started the year with some lovely friends and also we managed to do what we like doing best.
We got out our favourite vintage china and had a good old cup of tea.
One of my loveliest vintage friends was visiting - not vintage in age! But she does love everything vintage and home made.

So I picked this delicate grey cup (made in Glasgow) for lovely Ness.

 Really pretty spoon.

Detail on grey "Silver Birch" saucer from Royal Albert.

 Change the lens time!

 And again.

Cute dinky gold teapot.

Fancy Vintage china x 4.

 Christmas shortbread cookies.

Loving embroidered tablecloths at the moment.
(well always really)

And my favourite spoons.

Sorry got carried away with photos again!

Hope you have all had a great day and hope this year will be a good one for you.

We are all really missing our lovely friend that past away recently, big time, and somehow New Year's Eve will be so different from now on. Praying that somehow this year we will recover from her loss and carry on remembering how awesome and talented she was.

Also am so thankful for close friends and family, especially my wee little ones. I am so lucky to have such sweet busy bees that make me laugh so much - and also how lucky that they happen to love china!
(shame about the other half not so keen! haha)

Take care for now and thanks again for stopping by.

Brown Teapot,

Brown Teapot.

You can't get more exciting then that for a title can you?

It probably should have read,

Big Dark Brown Teapot?
or
Teapot of brownness?
or
Brown Pot of Tea?
or
The Dark Side of The Pot?
or
The Teapot of Darkness of Brownness?

So sorry, getting carried away.

I think that any of these would have made a much more exciting title!
It would have bought thousands of people to see such a brown delight!

But this brown teapot is rather sweet, it has really grown on me.
And after all it does seem to almost match my lovely neighbour Chris's outfit!

And thats what counts, doesn't it?
Matching your outfits with your china!

I don't suppose many people will be wanting brown events such as a brown vintage tea party?

Maybe you will all be inspired!
hehe

I do love the hand painted blue, white and orange flowers on it.

Sorry getting carried away.

Better sign off and have a final brown cup of tea.

Chris's brown outfit is from Roamkix,
some really cute outfits on there.

Have a great weekend.

Becca.

Red Spotty Teapot,

Once again I was paid a visit by my lovely neighbour Chris this weekend. Her bread making other half was in London working so I was fortunate to have her company for some much needed help.
Fancy Vintage is having a vintage tea party for 100 people this week for the Inauguration of the High Sheriff. So quite a lot of china checking and making sure everything is perfect.
So helpful Chris assisted in lots of carrying and inspecting with me. There aren't many people that would be helping in a garage looking the vintage look like Chris.

You probably have already guessed if you have seen previous posts about my neighbour that she seems to have a love for everything Anthropologie
Love this red and blue bird dress and the spotty cardi.

Chris picked one of my favourite's teapot to match her outfit.

The red and white spotty teapot is made by Elijah Cotton,
(Lord Nelson Ware).

And also the cup and saucer.
I have a lot of this set now, I absolutely love it.

It's such a cheerful happy china set.

Hope you enjoyed.
Better start packing china up for the tea party event.
They are not using this spotty set, they have gone for the floral vintage tea party theme.
What fun!
Take care for now

Pheasant Vintage China Tea-set

Had a lovely time yet again with another cup of earl grey tea from my lovely Vintage pheasant teapot! Yet again I stumbled on another pheasant tea-set that almost matched the teapot, at first glance you think it's matching, but check out those wings!

My lovely friend and neighbour Chris was also around to enjoy the experience, yes again her whole outfit is by Anthropologie,
(dress, shirt and belt).
I'm sure one day I will be tempted to purchase from them.

Loving the old photograph of Nice in the background frame.
It was an anniversary present to the other half last year, we went there on our honeymoon.
Awesome place. How many photographs did I take? Loads. I think I loved the photo of Nice really for myself!
Don't we all do that, or is it just me?!?!

It's now I let you into some upsetting news that alas the teapot leaks! Such a shame, it will have to be turned into something else! This is my next challenge. Can you notice the brown tea cheekily sneaking out from the bottom of the teapot! Very cheeky that pheasant teapot! A mosaic it could possibly become!

Loving Chris's red tights look, how bright are they! Thinking it does match the breast of the pheasant, and that's what tea drinking is all about, matching your china to your outfit!
Not really, but worth a try!
The challenge is on, to match Chris 's outfits to my teapots and china! Or anyone else that visits.
(Do I stop having visitors round when I run out of teapots?)
We did have a ladies Vintage tea night the other evening and we handed out different coloured vintage china filled with wine as the ladies entered to match their outfits! Such a good idea, as everyone always looses their wine glass when out for an evening!

I love this old piece of furniture, brought the desk a few years back. It needed so much work done on it. I love white painted wood, it is now where I do all of my work.

However it does show up crayon and pencil marks by certain young artists!

Hope you liked the Pheasant collection, sadly this is it's last appearance.
This is in memory of you my Pheasant friend!
Our last experience together is now recorded for all to see what great beauty you really possessed in your short life.

Oh my dear Pheasant.
