Chocolate Fudge Cake,

We had loads of fun making this chocolate fudge cake this weekend.
We had lots of visitors and we thought it would be nice treat.

Mixing the ingredients.
Love this cowboy shirt, it has so been passed down!!

Was so excited when I came across this cream coloured hand mixer a few months back.
The little ones love it.
Notice the cheeky hand sneaking some chocolate.

Love this really handy large Mayfair pink rosebud china mixing bowl.

All three little ones taking turns with the hand mixer.
Notice the chocolate covered fingers on the right.

Chocolate cake before decoration,
sitting on Cath Kidston pink rose fabric.

After decoration with pretty pink and yellow cake flowers.

And once again the really beautiful blue Pip Studio large plate.

It is so rare that I cook, that I had to take a few photos to show people that I can actually do it!
My mother in law was in disbelief!

Funny really as I made it for a few visitors that evening.
And can you believe it, they all cancelled!

So I took it to them!
No one was going to escape that easily from my cooking!!!
And I watched them eat it. Just to make sure.
Hehe

Proof that the cake had actually been cut into.

I was actually surprised that it actually tasted ok,
Ok I was really surprised.
I rarely cook desserts.
That taste nice, that is!
hahaha

Take care and happy eating cake all!

Vintage Tea With Light Blue Dress,

Good Morning, Hope you are all well.
Finally the sun is back and we may have a summer after all!
So there will be hopefully plenty of opportunities for outdoor tea parties.

I had the pleasure once again of a certain local visitor for a spot of tea.
It is always fun to try and match vintage china with what ever Chris is wearing.
This time we went for the blue-bird teacup and the yellow crinoline lady teacup. What a choice!

Delicate Colclough floral jug.

Love this large stripy silver teapot.

Always find yourself holding the lid on a teapot.

Chris picked the lovely yellow crinoline dress teacup.
I have quite a bit of this set now.
I really, really love it.

And I had the blue-bird teacup.

Just had to put Chris's beautiful blue dress on this blog.
She had the dress so briefly but what a joy it was for the few seconds she had it!

Love the pale peach under petticoat.
The attention to detail is actually probably why you end up paying so much for this dress.

Some of you may have already guessed where this gorgeous dress is from?
One shop rings a bell.
The cream long cardigan is also from the same shop.

Love the full length of the pretty fabric.

How cute is the belt.

Only thing was that this dress was mega expensive.
As beautiful as it is.
It had to go back!

At least we have photo records of it's brief moment out of the box.

Thanks pretty dress for the short meeting.

Spring Wedding - Cakes,

Wedding Cakes at a Spring Welsh Farm Wedding:

There was a feast of cakes served on vintage china at this lovely Swansea wedding. Fancy Vintage China was lucky enough to be involved in this amazing Welsh celebration. Everyone that came to the wedding was asked if they fancied bringing cakes as their wedding present. It was such a brilliant idea.It was an amazing turn out of cakes and puddings!

Lovely vintage embroidered tablecloths from Fancy Vintage!

Love these pink cakes.

Lime green cup-cakes made by Frankie.

Bee Chocolate cup-cakes.

Lovely garden flowers and more pink cakes.

Chocolate profiteroles on one of the glass cake-stands.

Pretty delicate tulips.

A plethora of pink cakes with raspberries.

Truly scrumptious cookies.

Beautiful chocolate tart.

The wedding tables all had lovely fresh flowers in a variety of glass jars.

Vintage china ready for the food.

Ok, so the ladder had to be moved, but it wasn't just my little one who tried to climb it!

Love the cool dresses with the wellington boot look.

Spotty and floral dresses.

From the outside of the marquee you wouldn't have guessed the amazing detail inside.

As the groom is a specialist in sculpting wooden creations, he had put together a fun top table made out of wood.

And of course, always fun to bring the Big Gold frames along!

Really funny.

What a fun day.

Vintage Hats,

I stumbled onto these lovely hats the other day.
It was the the light blue net hat that caught my eye at first,
and I thought oh that's quite cute.
I almost missed the other cheeky 4 hats hiding near it.

I just love the detailed cream flower on the top.

I think this cream frilled hat is really cute.

This blue hat has a little bit of everything to keep everyone happy.

I just so love the light green folded fabric on this hat.
I'm sure I have a tablecloth that would match this hat!
Perhaps I should get my sewing machine out again and make the tablecloth into a lovely matching dress?

This wee cream hat is just so sweet.
I love the dinky bow on the top.

So I was a little bit greedy and brought all 5 of the hats.
They all looked like they wanted to be together.

Wouldn't the hats be great for dressing up?

It was funny when I had to pick up the little ones soon after buying them.
They were so excited and loved the hats and wore them all the way home.

Ok so the little wee ones really love eating and drinking from vintage china and love wearing my old vintage shoes around the house and now it's hats!

What's next?

Is this is a good training process for them?

Yellow Spotty China,

Good morning, once again we were privileged to taste Ollie's cooking skills in the form of a tasty Lemon tart.
Sometimes we get one slice, and we have to share it.
Other times we are lucky enough to have two slices!

I am biased of course but I always think it's more enjoyable to experience dessert with all the tiny weeny details.
Like the pretty vintage china, the floral tablecloth and a bonus is sweet smelling flowers like these peonies!

I love these light pink peonies so much.
They have lasted so well and the scent is so so so gorgeous.

I fell in love instantly with this light green floral fabric years ago, they were actually curtains, so I am lucky enough to have two large pieces of this fabric!
And a generous Miss Fab gave me this fun Royal Albert yellow spotty plate.
Fell in love with Mr. R. Albert straight away.

Love Chris's red horse shirt.
Must say thanks for continuous supply of different home-made cakes, being my model with cool clothes and for all the vintage china you wash!

A drink of herbal tea in this lovely spotty cup.
I have got this yellow spotty cup in lots of different colours.
I love them all so much.

Thanks to my mom for buying them whenever she thought it was an  important occasion!

Like a Friday moment or a Wednesday afternoon....
