Table Plan

How about this idea for a table plan for your wedding from Made in Mumbles, with photographs by  Rasa Mombeini. With a few props by us, Fancy Vintage. We have a little bit of love going on for old vintage cameras and gold frames.

*
I love the idea of putting up your old vintage photographs from your grandparents/parents wedding. Or maybe you could ask for photos from your guests before the big day to put on here?
*

*
We also have a little bit of a soft spot for old typewriters too.

*

I love how one of my wee ones asked if the typewriter played games, when he first saw one!

Take care for now.

Gold Vintage China Wedding Display

We sometimes get asked if we can do something different for a top table for a wedding. So we went for something different this weekend at a recent wedding Fair in Swansea. Everyone loves a little bit of Gold so we went a little bit over the top and did a complete table setting entirely in gold.
With the help from Meagan from Made in Mumbles, we completed the look with a dome floral display and added a few bits of vintage china.

We have also collected quite a few glass cake stands now. Can you ever have enough? (probably!)

The collection of gold teapots/coffee pots is growing.

Christmas Shop Window

 Christmas Window

We had fun decorating Blue's window recently for the local Christmas shopping night.
They have lots of lovely clothes in their shop at the moment, especially there cute little dresses.

Made in Mumbles and Fancy Vintage were inspired by a red theme for Christmas for the window, filled with hanging red balls, presents and a white Christmas tree.

We really enjoyed the experience and we are so looking forward to the next window session.

Take care for now

Vintage China Wedding,

Vintage China Wedding

We had fun supplying china for a wedding recently for a lovely couple Andy and Libby in The Gower Hotel. They had made it very personal and had organised so much themselves. We were in awe. I love all of the beautiful roses they had chosen, from their own pastel rose bouquets for the bridesmaids to the flowers on the tables.

They had a gold inspired top table

I loved all the white everywhere.

I think this is one of my favourite gold floral china combinations, we've had these pretty dining plates from the start.

Beautiful roses in glass with lace.

Fell in love with this yellow.

Really old china.

Pink roses.

More gold.

A fun idea from Made in Mumbles.

Table setting set for a high tea. The hotel offered a range of amazing food for their high tea.

It all looked so beautiful and was such a credit to Libby and her lovely family. It was a real family affair and it was so lovely to see all the action the day before the big day. The Gower Hotel is such a perfect setting for a wedding too. It also has the most beautiful old chapel right next door to it.

Take care for now, till the next entry.

Mad Hatter's Vintage Tea Party Window

Mad Hatter's Vintage Tea Party Window

I'm not sure how it happened but somehow recently we have had the excitement and honour of decorating shop windows. The most recent  being 'The Mad Hatter's Tea Party' window theme. This Year
Fancy Vintage has teamed up with Meagan from  Made in Mumbles  to combine both of our creative brains.
(I'm not sure if I actually have one at the moment)
But we did have lots of fun with the lovely owners of

As you can guess it involved vintage china!

And vintage candle sticks.

And a few props.

All with a colourful pastel theme.

And a little bit of suspending random bits of china.

Shop window view from the inside.

I thought I had better fill you in with what we've been doing recently. It's been quite a while since my last entry, so massive apologies for that. Fancy Vintage has had a really busy summer and year actually with weddings and tea parties and has let blogging fall by the way-side.

I may have more time on my hands coming up, or maybe not, seeing as we have another member joining Fancy Vintage soon.

Take care for now and happy September.
