Vintage Boy's Red & White Party

What fun! A red and white boy's party theme.
This was inspired by some cool pirate bunting and some red and white stripy fabric.
They had food that was also mostly red too,
strawberries, tomatoes, jammy dodgers, and so on...
And most of the food was on pretty red and white spotty china.

Nothing like a little bit of red and white spotty vintage china from Lord Nelson Ware for the 4 year olds!

I think the gingerbread men look rather happy on Vintage spots!

I so love stripes!

This multi coloured stripy fabric was from a few years ago.
I brought quite a bit of it and other stripy fabrics as well.
Great for making bunting.

The three birthday little ones were 4!
My favourite number.

Love these old wooden toy blocks.

Collection of yummy red and white cakes and sweets.

Also loving these red and white spotty napkins too.

I love the packaging of these chocolate marshmallow treats.

Jammy Dodgers.

Cakes with white icing and red sweets.

Popcorn in a cute recycled sardine paper bowl.

Red and white stripy party bags with seaside stickers.

Pirate candles for the birthday cake.

And of course you can't have a children's party without pretty vintage cups and saucers for the Moms and Dads!

On more stripy fabric.

Also some pretty Cath Kidston napkins too for the females.

I think all the little ones had a great time.
It was great working with lovely amazing Anna too.
What a star!

It is always good to start the little ones with a little bit of a vintage party experience early on in age.

Don't you think?

Vintage Handbag Skirt.

What I wore today.

I love this handbag skirt so much.
It is easily my most favourite skirt ever.
Well so far.

It has loads of really cute different style handbags on it.
I brought it a few years ago from the Clothes show live event in Birmingham. Ok, I may have been tempted by a few other skirts too.
I will save those photographs for another time.

And I love these Black pointy shoes from Dune.
They have really cute little heals on them.
A change from summery flip flops!

Oh where has the sun gone.

Midsummer Ball.

A few of us attended a fun meeting last night to discuss the upcoming Midsummer Ball. Only a few weeks left and there's only a little bit of tweeting left to do. It is actually called Juicy Lucy's Midsummer Ball by Royal Fairy Proclamation. What fun, love this idea.

Dress code.... Big ballgowns and black tie for the Princes!
And possibly...
(Wear a wedding dress if you want to!)

It would be really good fun to wear your wedding dress, don't you think? Question is, will mine actually  fit??!?

It is going to be a Pink bubbly reception in the gardens.

Beautiful grounds surround the 1890's Pavilion which has just been beautifully refurbished.

Love the view of the Mumbles and the beach from the front of the Pavilion.

There will be a buffet of Indian cuisine followed by a live band and dancing till late. Sounds like such fun. We had a chance to sample the food, which was really tasty.

Well done to Lucy and her team who have done so much work organising this.

All funds raised will go towards "Changing for the Better" which is a project aimed at improving facilities at Ysgol Crug Glas which will positively impact the lives of children, young people and adults with severe and multiple disabilities in Swansea.

They have also organised amazing prizes and auctions for the evening.

The massive green entrance doors.

Really love the lighting!

And all the attention to detail on the building.

Lucy checking out the flooring and the proposed band area.

Such a massive space.
Possibly 35 tables required!

Thinking where shall we put the fairy lights?

and the flowers?

and the butterflies?

 and the fairies?

And most importantly of all...

the pretty cakes and the fancy vintage cake stands?

hehehe

How exciting!

How many more sleeps.
Can't wait.

Now where is that tiny dinky wedding dress I got married in only the other day?

Am I living hopefully that I will still fit into it after all these years?

Fat chance!

Better start looking for an alternative, like a tent!

Cake Party,

A Cake Party in a work place.
 Nice!
Just what the Dr. Ordered!
It was a surprise birthday cake and tea party.

It looks really good fun, and it was!
And it is really easy to do!

All you need is for everyone to bring biscuits, cookies, cakes, etc!
And then don't forget the fun vintage-style paper napkins, bunting, pretty doilies and some candles!
Also not forgetting some pretty fancy vintage cake-stands.

Some of the lovely ladies were a little bit more enthusiastic with their cooking skills!
Really loving the bright coloured orange cakes!

They tasted so nice. You can't really beat homemade cooking!

I do admit, these smily faces do look a little bit odd.

Can you ever have enough sweets ????
Well yes, I guess if you have as many fillings as I do!

And ever so sweet pink and white marshmallows.

And some birthday candles to sing a happy tune!

Can't remember whose birthday it was now?!?

Yellow & Blue Fancy Vintage China,

Should I pick the yellow or the blue vintage china cup?
That was on Chris's mind when she popped over the other day for a spot of coffee.
A very tough choice and one not to be taken lightly.

Which one?
Royal blue or Sunshine yellow china teacup?

Both from the Royal Albert Regal Series.

I think you may need sunglasses with this yellow cup!

And also which dessert should we choose?
One chocolate cake and one cheese cake?

Sorry Chris there is no way you are taking the chocolate cake!
I know you did actually bring it with you from lovely Sococoa,

Still loving my pink peonies that have lasted miraculously ages.

Once again Chris is sporting a unique and stylish look from anthropologie.
A stunning butterfly wing pattern on this yellow skirt.

Love the detailed lace look of the blue top also by anthropologie.

A blue denim jacket to finish the look so we can have a quick dander out!

And did we really have time for a wee shop and a Starbucks coffee as well?

A total day of coffee overload!
Nice!

Vintage Parasol Beach Towel,

I visited my favourite Beach recently. It is a little bit quieter then most of the other local seaside spots. I really love strolling through the little lanes to get there in the late afternoon as it's only a short walk away. It was the perfect opportunity to introduce my new friend "The Vintage Parasol Towel" to my favourite spot.

My favourite spot.

My new favourite colourful beach towel.

Lots of different views of my new sunny towel.

The Parasol towel really loved it's first visit to a Welsh beach in a long long time.

It was really an effort to get it to go home!

I had to drag it all the way practically!

Until the next visit.
