Cute Egg Cosies.

My lovely sister in law Ness makes absolutely everything.
I was lucky enough to get loads of hand made gifts this year. One of my favourite makes was this really cute egg cosy set.
It went down well with the wee ones too.

Can you guess who wanted to play with them?

Is everything a toy with children?

Can you believe wee boys would be arguing over crocheted egg cosies.
You have to laugh really.

                Crocheted in lovely neutral shades.

These are mine!

One.

Two.

Three.

Four.

This little one wants more.

Playing with his eggs.

Pink spotty egg cups and floral Cath Kidston fabric.

Ok, I should really finish this post here.

If you love china only - this is the end.
Do not read any more.

With an egg cosy on his head!

More Ben 10 figures with egg cosies.

And then we have the new cosy train collection.

Just what you needed to see.

Sorry, Salty and Henry had a little bit of personal time with the egg cosies.

I told you not to look, cheeky little ones,
What would my sister in law say!

Sorry, Ness.
I am honestly taking good care of them!

Kid's Vintage Tea Party

We had a really sweet tea party for six children over the holidays. They all loved pulling the cute crackers, and drinking out of the dinky coloured glasses.

Colourful yellow floral vintage tablecloth.

I have this vintage fabric in two different colours.
Will do a post soon featuring the other one,
I know you can't conceal your excitement!

These glasses remind me of my Grandma.

They come in a variety of pretty colours.

Forgot to take photos of the other shades of glasses as this one was so my favourite.

Pink beetle plates.

Setting for six.
I know, I know only five settings can be seen.

Pink beetle plates x 4.

Colourful crackers.

A whole lot of floral action going on here.

Ok, so a few of the wee ones came to the table prepared with their favourite cars. Usually it's trains or action figures.

Do you think you would ever guess if this little kid's vintage party was for boys or girls?

Or do the cars give it away?

Train them early I say, get them used to prettiness and china!

My Mom's Collection

I know that I didn't have a choice in life whether or not I was going to like pretty vintage china or not.
My mother is a big fan of not only china but books, sewing, knitting, actually everything, I know she moulded me big time!
Not to mention the tea shop experiences and the elevenses'!
(at 11 am it is time for a cup of tea and cake)
Then it became the twos-eys, fours-eys, you can imagine how large we would have become if she carried on every few hours!

This is part of the first cake stand that I remember when I was growing up. It would be staring at me every time I opened up the cupboard on my parents Welsh dresser.  That cheeky hole over time was getting hold of me, reeling me in and taking control of my brain.
And I guess that is what I love doing now, drilling holes in plates! Well not really putting the holes into the plates. But it is really difficult - as I love every plate but can only think that someone will be finding great joy from a lovely cake stand full of cakes.
(I hope!)

My mom has quite a collection now, and she tries to use them all.
She likes matching them up to different personalities.
( I wonder why I always get that little white plain one!) hahha

They are stacked 3 or 4 high on one of her dressers.

I so love this one!

Can you tell!

So just a few images from one of their Welsh dressers the other day.

Followed by a little bit of awesome Christmas cake made by my mom - she is such a fan of the Duchess pink rosebud china.

Thanks lovely mom for absolutely everything.

I also so know where I get it from when I hide my new purchases somewhere in the house and then comment that I have had them for ages. I so know who I take after!

Cute Vintage Purple and Gold Trios,

As usual it is always hard to say goodbye to my good friends.
These really old purple and gold trios have gone to excellent homes which is always good. I usually like to ask the owner a good 100 questions first to see if they will be well looked after and cared for.
Hehe.

The tea cups will be fine!
Their new owners were all big tea drinkers.

Take care everyone.
 Have an excellent day.

Vintage Tea Cup Candles,

*Vintage tea cup candles*

Here is a selection of vintage tea cup candles that we made before Christmas. We used a variety of colours as well as scents.
I am so in love with all the evocative smells that we used for these candles.
Beth did a sterling job selling them at craft fairs for Christmas presents.

The teacups can be used again after the candle is finished.

Pile of saucers.

Candle wax melting.

Waiting tea cups.

These teacups are a great ideas for vintage weddings too.
I love how they can be used again.
They sold really well last Christmas and I have been getting requests to refill the same teacup from last year as they have fallen in love with their pretty teacups.

As mentioned on yesterday's blog I have so many blog drafts that I never published.
I started this in November, oops, busy month that old December!

Take care for now.
