Happy St. David's Day!

Happy St. David's Day!

Today I am inspired by some lovely smelling daffodils, especially as it is St. David's Day,(Dydd Gwyl Dewi Sant). It is the feast day of Saint David, the patron saint of Wales. March the 1st was chosen in remembrance of his death in 589 and has been celebrated since. A day of traditional welsh costumes, red rugby jerseys, leeks, and of course lovely yellow daffodils. I brought a few bunches of daffodils a few days ago and am so in love with them. You can smell their strong aroma as you walk into the house. It feels like spring is coming! Yippie! So excited about warmer weather soon and all the flowers that will appear!

Picked a lovely vintage green jug just for today!

Lovely green and yellow.

Zooming in on lovely hand painted gold detail.

Detail of the back of the hand painted jug.

Loving the yellow embroidery detail.

New yellow and pink embroidered cloth.

Love this beautiful jug, it is made by Price Brothers.

All was going well, then a little sneaky hand pops by!

OOPPPS! Disaster with the daffodils.

And then tries a bit of floristry,

Which doesn't go according to plan!

Oh dear, we quickly picked the flowers up and put them back into the safety of the dainty jug.

Hope you have a lovely St. David's Day wherever you may be.
May this be the start of some lovely warm weather for you all!
